We are very pleased to announce some recent success in the Hermitage Plant Science Competition.
This nationwide competition is open to all students from Prep to Year 12 with an aim to foster an understanding and interest in Science and Agriculture, particularly as it relates to plants. Students this year were able to compete in one or more of three sections:
SCOTS PGC Year 7 Science students competed either individually or in teams entries in the Plant Science Project Awards. Students were required to complete and write up a scientific investigation into plant germination, a research report into use of agricultural plants in third world countries, and a mind map about plant health. All students in years 7A and 7B did a remarkable job considering most of this work was done during the Learning from Home period.
Some students were recognised by competition organisers and will receive certificates, medallions and a trophy from the Hermitage for their outstanding effort. These were:
