Trip to Suncorp Stadium

What a highlight for almost 100 boarders and staff to attend the recent NRL match between the Broncos and the Rabbitohs in Brisbane at the iconic Suncorp Stadium. Whilst the result made some very happy and others not so pleased, the whole event was a wonderful experience for all, filled with footy, fireworks, light shows and great social interaction. Well done and thanks to all involved where SCOTS PGC was very well represented in the community.

Adopt a Boarder weekend

This is fast approaching on 12-14 May (end of week 4) and is available to all boarding students. It also coincides with Mother’s Day on Sunday. Essentially, girls and boys from all the SCOTS PGC boarding houses are encouraged to spend the weekend with friends from the day school, as approved by their parents or guardians. This may also include staying with a relative/family member or another boarder who offers to host a boarder, or it may even be a trip home for some. Boarding parents and the host parents can make plans and relay these to their respective Directors of Boarding to arrange leave. Please talk with your son/daughter about this great opportunity.

Cardinal

The 2023 Cardinal Ball was a fantastic night for our senior boarding students. The entire event, from the garden party at Girls’ Boarding to the final dance of the night, and the performances by the Rock Bands, was a huge undertaking, so congratulations to all involved; it was spectacular indeed.

It was great to see so many Year 12 boarding parents in attendance and enjoying a dance with their son or daughter before sharing some social time together at the parents’ function. The unique arrivals of the Cardinal partners down East Street, including the classic and hot rod cars, utes and one very big truck (thanks Hank and Abbie) was most entertaining. The night was certainly a fitting celebration for this cohort of students.
