Mrs Chemane Fairleigh | Head of Girls Boarding
It is hard to believe another term is about to finish. In many ways, it seems as if this was the longest term on record but in the same breath, ten weeks seems to have flown by. It has been a special term as it is the last full term for our Grade 12 boarders; it will be very hard to say goodbye to them, particularly as Molly and Heidi joined the boarding community in Grade 6!
Last Friday evening we celebrated the end of the term by attending the local Chinese restaurant where we were treated to a banquet of their finest dishes: Mongolian lamb, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Special Fried Rice and a Crispy Pork dish – all of which were super yum. Dinner was followed by cheesecake and deep-fried ice cream. A brilliant way to finish off two full-on days of Athletics.
I would like to take this opportunity to commend all of the girls and also expend my thanks to each and every boarding family for their support during these uncertain times. The girls have coped tremendously well and are very much looking forward to the upcoming school holidays.
It is also important to acknowledge the love and support given freely to the boarding community by my amazing staff: Mrs Clark, Mrs Hoffman, Mrs Hart, Miss Wenborn and Miss Taylor. Thank you all for everything you do. Looking forward to creating more memories in Term 4!
