(First speech as delivered on Assembly)
One time I went to the physio after a rugby game. I told her it hurts when I touch my back, chest and arm. She told me I had broken my finger…
My name is Molly Turnbull and I am so proud to be the 2020 Rugby 7s Captain for SCOTS PGC this year.
Unfortunately, this year, game play has slowed and completely stopped for the start of our season. However, luckily our girls are better at catching balls than corona and we are now back on track.
This season our girls of all ages are off to a great start with several girls from other schools joining our ranks. Our Under 13 girls currently lack number but are showing incredible commitment to their training and fitness. If you are in the Under 13 girls age division and would like to play one of the best sports on offer here at SCOTS, please make yourself known to me or any of the other sports teachers.
The Under 15s are at the top of the ladder in their age group, winning two and tying one game last weekend. These girls are playing against three Toowoomba teams and one Chinchilla team and doing exceptionally well.
The Under 17s have a couple of fresh faces to complete the team this year, which is fantastic news. Although we are yet to be victorious, our team is starting to work really well and our new girls are really sinking their teeth into the game.
We are two games in with our third game in Chinchilla on Sunday. If there are any girls who wish to play in the SCOTS PGC 7s Carnival on the 5th of September, we would absolutely love to see you at training.
