Year 7 Shark Tank Experience

The Year 7 Shark Tank Experience

Melanie Gibbons – Humanities Teacher

Our Year 7 Humanities classes have been learning about entrepreneurs and small business this term. Students have designed and created unique and innovative products to show the traits and skills that young entrepreneurs require in the consumer world.

This unit of work culminated in a small business exposé, with four groups presenting in the style of ‘Shark Tank’.

Our special guests (aka ‘Sharks’) are all successful business owners and professionals in our community and were very impressed by the professionalism, enthusiasm and dedication that our students showed.

We’d like to thank our ‘Sharks’ – Mr Kyle Thompson, Mrs Jane Pollard, Mr Rob Lang and Councillor Neil Meiklejohn and our staff, parents and friends for their support of the event. The Humanities faculty hopes to run a bigger business exposé next year. Well done everyone!
