USQ Enterprise Breakfast

On Friday 2nd March, Year 12 Accounting and Legal Studies students, Casey Free and Fitzroy Somerset, attended the USQ Enterprise Breakfast with Mrs Ratcliffe and Mr Lee, along with approximately 50 other high school teachers, industry professionals, USQ academics and staff.

The breakfast was hosted by USQ’s schools of Business and Commerce and Law and Justice. The event was a wonderful opportunity to hear about USQ programmes in these areas, including their Headstart Programme which allows High School students to complete university subjects while still at school.

However, the highlight of the event was the opportunity to hear from and network with industry professionals. Casey Free had the opportunity to discuss her independent study topic for Legal Studies with Lawyer, Angus Murray from Irish Bentley Lawyers. Mr Lee was able to connect with Legal Aid Queensland and other private law firms, while Mrs Ratcliffe discussed workshop and scholarship possibilities for SCOTS PGC students with Amanda Kenafake, CEO, Power Tynan Accountants and Business Advisers.
