Happenings in the Humanities Faculty

This week students from Year 8 through to Year 12 undertook National Competitions in both Geography and History. These competitions are an important part of the students learning pathway as they allow our students to test themselves against students from across Australia. Both national competitions test aspects of the National Curriculum in the areas of skills and knowledge recall.  The History Competition is sponsored by the Australian History Teachers Association and the Geography Competition is supported by Macquarie University and the University of Queensland. Results will be made available in term three. In conjunction with these two competitions, students have also been hard at work competing in the Australian Stock Exchange Game where students compete nationally in context of share trading. These undertakings add further to the Faculty’s success in University of Southern Queensland’s mooting competition.
