A busy holiday for some of our students with three of our girls contesting National Championship.
Tshinta Kendall was a part of the Lloydy’s Rugby 7s Team over the school holidays that contested the National Youth 7s Championships. The Lloydy’s Team of indigenous players finished 6th overall and did extremely well particularly against the eventual winners Queensland Red going down by a mere converted try at the end of their match.
Kira Holmes contested the National U15 Cricket Championship recently, representing Queensland. The team finished 4th with some excellent and close finishes. Kira contributed well from all accounts to the team’s performance and we congratulate her on this achievement.
Also over the holidays Lucy Bourke represented Queensland at the National U13 Cricket Championships where the team was extremely successful winning the National Championship and Lucy was awarded player of the Final for her contribution to the Queensland Team’s performance. This is a massive achievement and we congratulate Lucy on her dedication and success.
Please advise Mr Bradbury if your child was competing in any significant Co-curricular events over the holidays so we can acknowledge their achievements.
Keep an eye out on SEQTA and emails for information regarding Southern Downs (10-12 years) and Border District (13-19 years) Sporting Trials over the coming weeks.
