Appointment of Director of Co-curricular

Following the resignation of Russell Craymer at the end of Term 4 last year, we set out to find a suitable replacement to continue the great work that has been done in progressing our programmes in this area.

We attracted a very strong field of candidates from a number of highly regarded schools in Queensland and New South Wales.

It is my pleasure to announce that Mr Peter Wilson has accepted our offer to be the College’s next Director of Co-curricular Activities. Peter will commence in his new role in around four weeks.

Peter has experience in a number of highly regarded schools in a variety of positions of responsibility. He has been the Deputy Director of Boarding at Ipswich Grammar School, acted in the capacity of Deputy Principal at Mansfield State High school, where he also had responsibility for the co-curricular program for over 2000 students.

Peter is currently a Senior Housemaster at Brisbane Boys’ College where he has previously worked as Director of Rugby, coached multiple sports and taught across the maths, science, PE and learning support faculties.

He has an extensive background in co-curricular programmes and is passionate about ensuring that children participate in activities that contribute to their holistic education.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Tom Bradbury and Carissa Miller for their excellent work in ensuring that our co-curricular offerings are up and running for the commencement of the school year.

Regards, Kyle Thompson
